Me sketching. Can you believe that I took this photo with my other hand? Anyway, I have a prayer request. Some know how my hip "locks" or "pinches" sometimes, well, it's been bothering me, it always hurts when I walk now and I have to do a looot of walking. Keep it in mind if you can. Thanks. Posted by Picasa
Another great sight at the park I have to share!

Can you see what's hiding in the grass!?
I went to a great park one morning in an attempt to sketch and I almost stepped on them. I saw some of these gyus feeding on some bread crumbs along with a sea of pigeons on a different day - they stood out pretty well then.

And here is some architecture. That's what I should be taking pictures of afterall! This is one of Gaudi's churches in a sleepy little town called Colonia Guell. We went there on a little class trip.
I find it hard to photograph any architecture here, I don't do it justice. It has to be experienced! Maybe cut off snapshots like this will tempt you to discover more yourself.

Castillos - human castles were one of the most incredible sights at the la Merce, weekend festival in Barcelona. This tower is about half finished. The little monkey kids that go on top are just starting to follow the youths that are climbing ahead of them. It seems to be a family activity. People of all ages and body shapes were part of the towers, leading us to believe that the little kids 6 or so stories high up must have their parents as part of the structure somewhere.

The old men love their dogs! You can see them everywhere walking them, sitting in parks and chatting with their buddies (the man in red is obviously not in the club, maybe because he does not have a dog?!)

FOOD-BALLS for supper! This was an interesting restaurant that we had to test out. The food was served rolled up into balls. I had a rice and seafood ball, rice and vegetable ball and coconut carrot muffin ball. It was yummie, worthy of photos and the restaurant had an interesting and unusual layout, so it was altogether a very good experience.
We usually cook at home and I love the daily trips to the market for fruit, vegetables, eggs and meat supermarkets for other staples such as chocolate and yoghurt...

I didn't know that I would learn so much about Nigeria while being in Barcelona! IB has been teaching me about Nigerian food, traditions, black people's hair, and Nigerian english.... Posted by Picasa
